Hello Adam,
In previous communications I mentioned some thoughts about the new Code of Practice and the need for recognising and improving the treatment of pre’1997 pensioners. I am now following up on this with the representation below.
Request to TPR for the New Code of Practice to establish ethical guidelines and code for the treatment of pensioners with pre’1997 service
Attached is a representation requesting The Pension Regulator to consider introducing a “Code of Ethical Practice for the treatment of pensioners with pre’1997 service”.
I am submitting this on behalf of the Hewlett Packard Pension Association Steering Group of which I am a member.
I would appreciate it if you could forward this to the appropriate TPR Executives/Management Team for their review and response please.
As indicated in our representation we would welcome the opportunity for further dialogue on this important subject.
Additional engagement and advocacy for our representation
I would also like to make you aware that it is also our intention to engage with a small number of MPs in the near future asking for their support for our representation.
As part of this further engagement it would be useful if you could provide me with the email addresses for Sarah Smart (TPR Non-Executive Chair) and Charles Counsell (TPR CEO) please.
If you need any further information then please let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
David Carson
(on behalf of the HPPA Team)
