Letter to Matt Harris
Hello again Matt,
I’m following up on the HPPA rally and to express my thanks to Clare Loxley for joining us and accepting the 1000 signature petition on HPE’s behalf.
Over 100 people showed up, despite the threat of inclement weather, to voice their dissatisfaction with their treatment by the company over so many years. The event went without a hitch, the security guys were helpful and allowing Steve Spillane to park in the disabled space was very welcome, thanks for that.
It was a shame that Clare declined to join us for coffee afterwards, she could have heard first hand how people couldn’t understand HPE’s approach given is past reputation for fair treatment.
The HPA team would welcome your your feedback on the petition, I’d be more than happy to drop by the office at Winnersh to discuss this with you and Clare.
Best regards
Alan
Response from Matt Harris
Dear Alan
I write to respond to your email dated 04 October 2023.
Following the ‘HPPA Rally’ outside HPE UK’s Winnersh Office on 20 September 2023, which I am advised was conducted in a civil manner, I acknowledge receipt of your petition handed to Clare Loxley on the day. This has been shared with the appropriate individuals on my Leadership Team and to other key stakeholders in HPE’s Benefits team.
At this time, I do not consider there is a need to meet with you and discuss the petition. However, HPE UK is further considering the matter and should we wish to follow up with you, we will contact you accordingly.
Finally, I wanted to express my thanks to you and the members of the HPPA for the manner in which the way the rally was conducted.
Yours sincerely,
Matt
